John Abercrombie
John Abercrombie to me was one of those few guitar players with a refreshing and inspiring new approach in electric guitar in jazz and beyond,,, one of those moments when you hear something new and showing you a new direction.
Certainly was one of my introduction to ECM library as well ,,early 80s Here in moon there is a wonderful masterpiece, which back then it made a huge impact in my musical experience,,,, I listen it today and it makes the same effect on me. Sad loss. http://www.guitarplayer.com/artists/...es-at-72/63624 |

Re: John Abercrombie
Just seen this.. John Abercrombie was a great ECM jazz guitarist, sorry to see him leave but thankful for all the great music he left. I was fortunate enough to see John play at an intimate concert here in Pittsburgh, PA. Another player to the next layer.
