The Moog Foundation

Over NEARfest weekend, I had the opportunity to spend a good bit of time with Bob Moog's daughter, Michelle Moog-Koussa, who is the Executive Director of the Moog Foundation. I dubbed her the "Moogstress", and fortunately, she liked the nickname She is also a very nice person and I enjoyed chatting with her. Here is a photo of the two of us taken by Tom Gagliardi: http://www.facebook.com/s.php?sid=61...&id=1333162130

I discovered that I have been pronouncing Moog wrong all my life - it is pronounced Mog with a long O, being of Dutch origin.

I would like to direct your attention to the Moog Foundation's web page: http://www.moogfoundation.org/content/view/25/35/ it talks about the efforts of this non-profit organization. If you have enjoyed the sounds of the Moog, and are so inclined, there are a number of ways of helping out including some songs available for download.

This concludes this public service announcement

Maybe we could stream a nicely done audio PSA for the foundation?
