“Still Wish you were here”
released May 28, 2021 Wandering around the internet, I happened to come across this reinterpretation of one of Pink Floyd's most famous albums ... and this operation was carried out by a very particular Cover Band and for this reason I like to share it with You and I invite you to listen to the interpretation that all these very famous artists have wanted to impose on "Wish You Were Here" The following are present in the album: Geoff Tate, Steve Hackett, Billy Sheehan, Mel Collins, Geoff Downes, Todd Rundgren, Rick Wakeman, Tony Levin, James LaBrie, Steve Stevens, Patrick Moraz, Rat Scabies, Jah Wobble, Rik Emmett, Joe Satriani, Edgar Froese, David Ellefson, Carmine Appice, Rod Argent, Steve Hillage, Ian Paice, Bootsy Collins. Animals is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums ... and being able to have a version played by so many great artists ... certainly teases the curiosity about how they would like to play these great tracks. Listend to it all. They are OK. There is something sacrilegious about redoing such classics. Definitely not essential by any stretch.
